Seed Starts with Carol Miles, WSU Vegetable Extension Specialist

We’ll look at when to start crops during the year for year-round vegetable gardens with a focus on growing your own transplants. Seed storage will also be discussed to get the most out of your seed. Also covered will be transplanting and some easy methods of plant protection in the garden.
Carol Miles is the Washington State University Vegetable Extension Specialist located at the WSU Mount Vernon Northwestern Washington Research and Extension Center. She specializes in vegetable production and has a strong interest in alternative crops and organic production. Carol has her Ph.D. in vegetable crops from Cornell University and has been teaching and learning about vegetable production for 25 years.
