Is beef
comparable to fine wine?
George and Eiko Vojkovich, of Skagit River Ranch near Sedro Woolley, WA think so. They have been practicing sustainable farming techniques since 1992, and believe that the unique soil and climate of the Skagit River Valley accents the quality of their beef, just as good wines display regional essence. They raise about 150 certified organic Angus beef for sale each year. The cows graze organic pastures and receive tender care, and their beef took first prize in a 2004 nation-wide “Pastured Perfect” taste test.
The Co-op carries their certified organic eggs, beef and pork.
