Co-op Update Regarding COVID-19
An update from your Co-op:
As an important part of the Skagit Valley community, the safety of our staff and members is our top priority. With that consideration in the forefront, we want to be transparent if a Co-op staff person happens to test positive for COVID-19.
In the instance of a positive test, the Co-op works closely with the Skagit County Public Health Department to mitigate the spread of the virus. Any close contacts related to an individual’s time at work are identified and quarantined. We are following all Washington State and Skagit County Public Health recommendations and taking every possible precaution, including requiring masks to enter the store, sanitizing all surfaces regularly, and encouraging social distancing through signage and employee outreach.
The Co-op last learned of a positive COVID-19 test on Tuesday, January 19th. The staff member in question last worked in the Co-op during non-business hours on January 15th.
The store will remain open. As always, if you’d prefer to not come into the store at all, we do offer online ordering as an option.
We will continue to communicate any important updates with our shoppers. If you have any questions or concerns, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
