Co-op Brew Corner: New Stellar Ales in Cans

There’s no shortage of tasty brews on the market these days. However, fans of Ecliptic Brewing, can catch one of Portland’s young breweries canning freshly hopped up brews:

  • Starburst India Pale Ale ~ Ecliptic Brewing of Portland, OR ~ 7.8% alcohol by volume ~ 75 IBU ~ $9.49 per 6-pk cans ~ Starburst is a flavorful IPA bursting with the piney, resinous flavors of a constellation of Northwest hop varieties. Bright flavors of Cascade, Centennial, Chinook, Columbus and Simcoe hops shine in this ale of medium body and light caramel malt character. Pair it with: Wasabi spiced Deviled Eggs, or creamy pasta with CURED Smoked Chicken.
  • Quasar Pale Ale ~ Ecliptic Brewing of Portland, OR ~ 6% alcohol by volume ~ 65 IBU ~ $9.49 per 6-pk cans ~ Inspired by its luminous namesake, Quasar is a light Pale Ale brewed for springtime and summer. Flavorful and easy drinking, Simcoe and Mosaic hops give Quasar Pale Ale a huge, fresh tropical aroma. Pair it with: poached wild salmon fillets, or grilled ham and cheese sandwiches.
