Fall into Reds

Farmlands Pinot Noir
Producer: Johan’s Vineyards
Varietal: Pinot Noir
Region: Willamette Valley, OR
Price: $20.99
This Pinot Noir is made entirely from Johan’s Vineyards’ biodynamic-certified, estate-grown fruit. The Farmlands Pinot Noir is young, vibrant, and juicy, with good structure. This is a wonderful example of an Oregon Pinot Noir. No additives were used crafting this wine.

Cotes du Rhone Heritages
Producer: Ogier
Varietals: Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre
Region: Rhone, France
Price: $13.99
First, you’ll be greeted by cherry and leather aromas. The flavor profile includes notes of cassis, boysenberry, violet, and tobacco with a rich texture. Tobacco is a good flavor to look for in a wine, because tobacco says “this wine has character”. For the money, this wine over-delivers: typically, this level of wine costs considerably more. And, even better, it is made by a winery that has making wine for centuries. This is a “must try!”
