Made with 100% Sangiovese Grosso and fermented solely in stainless steel. Grosso is the more interesting of the two Sangiovese clones (the other is Piccolo). Grosso grapes have thicker skins and smaller berries, which yields a richer, darker, more structured wine. This is not your average spaghetti red Sangiovese. You’ll experience flavors of blueberry, blackberry, and plum, with spiced aromas and dusty tannins. This wine is also unfiltered, which is unusual for such an affordable Sangiovese Grosso. Mocali does a good job of settling the wine before it is bottled though so you shouldn’t have much sediment in the bottom of your glass. Wines that are unfiltered tend to be darker and richer. 88pts, Wine Spectator 

Washington Hills Sauvignon Blanc

Washington Hills is one of the state’s first wineries and it has been producing Sauvignon Blanc since its first vintage in 1988. Aromas of lime zest, lemongrass, and freshly cut lawn introduce juicy flavors of limeade and green apple with a concrete minerality. The wine’s flavor profile includes a touch of grapefruit, plus green apple and lemon curd. It is wonderfully easy to drink. Enjoy with herb-seasoned goat cheese or brie, cured meats, or mussels with cream sauce. 89pts, Wine Spectator
