In 1983 Larry and Sharon Johnson started Cedardale Orchards in South
Mount Vernon with 6 acres of apple trees. Throughout the years, the
orchard grew to 16 acres. It remained in full production through 2007.
In that year, the orchard downsized, with the remaining acreage used
solely for cider production.

For the last 16 years, their sons Brad and Brian, have been producing apple cider. The cider is made fresh weekly containing 100% apple juice. The apple varieties change as the season progresses, thus giving the cider a unique blend throughout the entire growing season. Varieties include Gala, Jonagold, Melrose, Jonamac, Gravenstein and Honeycrisp. The cider is pasteurized which extends the shelf life.
