This fifth generation Lynden dairy family does it ALL organically: the cows, the land, the pasteurization, bottling and delivery.

Fifth generation farmers, Shawn and Clarissa, harvest grass and corn off some of the same land as Shawn's great grandparents did in the early 20th century. As most of their farming practices were already similar to organic, they decided to make the switch to operating a certified organic farm. Currently, they milk around 180 cows and raise their own young stock, which graze some of their 400 acres of pasture and cropland.

After realizing that people in Washington had no other source for local, vat pasteurized, certified organic milk, Shawn and Clarissa began bottling their own. Shawn brings the milk from the dairy to the plant (right across the road), then separates, pasteurizes, and homogenizes the milk. Clarissa helps with the bottling.

Fresh Breeze Dairy has been awarded Salmon-Safe certification, an emerging Northwest eco-label to recognize farming practices that protect water quality and habitat for fish and wildlife.
