Special Events
The Co-op
is proud to be able to take part in so many
incredible events throughout the year. Our outreach
table has a tri-fold display with education about
Cooperative history, mission, and values, as well
as what it means to eat Seasonally, Locally, and to
Think Twice about ReUse. We are happy to
participate in health fairs and other events where
people may be interested in learning more about
healthy living and healthy eating.
This year the Co-op has participated in the Christianson’s Nursery employee health fair, United General’s women’s health fair, Skagit Valley College’s Sustainability Fair, Healthy Living for Seniors at the Cascade Mall, The Food Share Alliance sponsored by Skagit Community Action agency, North Coast Credit Union, and Skagitonians to Preserve Farmland to raise awareness and connect local food producers to area food banks, and the Salish Tribe Culture Day.
We’ve also partnered with Westview Elementary School for Earth Day, displaying and packing groceries in hundreds of beautifully illustrated Earth Day paper bags.
