The Cheese Whisperer: Montchevre Gets a Makeover

Fans of quality goat’s milk cheese are likely no stranger to Montchevre, an artisan dairy in Belmont, Wisconsin. Recently, the dairy has updated its products with a new packaging design. Now shoppers can look for the montychevsame tasty cheese with a slightly new face.  Naturally gluten-free and made from 100% pasteurized goat milk, Montchevre cheese is handcrafted and cultured with vegetal rennet. Try these enticing offerings:

Crottin – modeled on a classic mild French style chevre, these small rounds of fresh goat cheese are perfect for salads and picnics. Our Specialty Cheese Island currently offers the original Plain variety, as well as a Garlic and Herb and 3 Pepper flavors. Each 3.5 oz. round is on sale for $3.99 each.

Mini Cabrie – made in the style of double cream brie, the Mini Cabrie has a soft, white rind with a velvety smooth interior paste. Treat it like you would any other brie: just add fresh fruit or preserves and nuts and enjoy. Warm for best flavor. Each 4.4 oz wheel is $4.49 each.

Goat Milk Cheddar – a firm, aged goat cheese with a tangy finish. Sliceable and shreddable, use this goat cheese for making sandwiches, pizzas, mac-n-cheese, and more. 8 oz bars are $8.99 each.
