Under the Tuscan Cheddar

Welcome a new, intensely flavorful cheese to the Co-op’s Specialty Cheese Island: Tuscan Hand Rubbed Aged Cheddar from Cabot Creamery Cooperative, based in New England.

If Cabot’s original aged white cheddar were to take a vacation to the sun-drenched hills of Tuscany, it would taste like this cheese when it came home. A combination of Old World flavors like bell pepper, fennel, and onion, it’s almost like pizza without the crust.

Bright and colorful, Cabot’s cheddar is encrusted with a blend of Italian herbs and spices. Underneath, a smooth, buttery aged cheddar waits. Naturally gluten- and lactose-free, Cabot’s cheese is made with quality ingredients and rBST-free cow milk from family farms.

Some cheeses have so much flavor they are almost a meal unto themselves. Offer Cabot’s Tuscan cheddar on a cheese platter with olives or melt it over crusty bread for an instant appetizer! Now available for $6.99 per 8oz. bar.
