Fun with Fentimans' Botanical Brews

Next time you’re in the mood for a fizzy treat, try Fentimans’ classic sodas. Grab a single in the Deli or a 4-pack in the beverage aisle. These exceptional drinks stand out with unique bottle shape and vintage label design. Fentimans has a range of delicious flavors from which to choose. Their classic Ginger Beer, Cherry Tree Cola and Curiosity Cola are based on old English apothecary recipes and have the familiar flavors of sweet and earthy cola.

Brighten your day with some unusual citrus sparklers – try a bottle of Fentimans’ Rose Lemonade, blushing with world famous rose extract from the Rose Valley of Kazanlak, Bulgaria; or tangy sweet Victorian Lemonade. Lovers of orange soda won’t want to miss the Mandarin & Seville Orange Jigger – each bottle contains the juice of 8 mandarins and the zest of one Seville orange, along with extracts of speedwell, juniper and ginger. Perhaps the most original flavor is the Dandelion & Burdock soda, that tastes pleasantly of bubble gum and aniseed.

Since the early 1900s Fentimans has been crafting sodas and sparkling herbal elixirs of exceptional quality. Originally made in Newcastle Upon Tyne and named for Thomas Fentiman, a British tradesman. True to the  tradition of hand-crafted sodas, these drinks are made in a 7-day brewing and fermentation process, using all natural and organic ingredients, including fermented ginger and botanical extracts. Fentimans’ tonics are made from full strength herbal extracts like dandelion and rose, sweetened by pear juice.

It’s sunny outside – add some of the Co-op’s own handmade organic vanilla ice cream for a gourmet float!
