Shop 4% Friday on December 23rd to Support Help Me Grow - Skagit Family Center

Since October 2020, The Children’s Museum of Skagit County has housed and run Help Me Grow – Skagit Family Resource Center. Help Me Grow aims to offer families seamless access to community services and support so they can easily connect to what they need, when they need it.

Help Me Grow purchases and distributes supplies that are not being regularly distributed elsewhere to families, including basic need items along with educational activity kits and books for families with children pre-birth to 8 years of age.

Help Me Grow has also provided gar vouchers to several families that have infants in the NICU at Seattle Children’s Hospital or to get to necessary appointments in Skagit County.

How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Help Me Grow?

Help Me Grow will use 4% Friday funds to purchase supplies to be distributed to families in need. These items range from household and personal care basic needs items to other infant and childcare related items.

To date, Help Me Grow has provided assistance and/or basic needs and education items to over 1,188 families. Through various partnerships, Help Me Grow has distributed over 200,000 diapers in the past year.
