How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group

Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group will use funds from 5% Friday to expand their Salmon in the Classroom program. Last year, Skagit Fisheries had the opportunity get 900 local kids out of their classrooms and outside learning about salmon, watersheds, and what students can do to cherish and protect them.

This program includes classroom lessons as well as field trips, where kids get to perform service learning elements like planting trees or removing invasive plants. In the spring, students get to release salmon fry that they raised from eggs in tanks at their schools.
