Skagit Flood Relief & How to Help

WOW! We are amazed by the outpouring of support we have received in response to the historic Skagit River flooding affecting our Mount Vernon, Burlington, Sedro-Woolley, Clear Lake, and Concrete communities.

We are floored by how many of you have reached out, willing to help, whether it be in sweat equity, food donations, or by donating to our area’s food banks at the register.

Below, we’ve put together a list of ways to help, including a donation-based Community Meal for everyone this Friday, December 19.

Now is the time for us to lean into our Cooperative Principle of Concern for Community and support our Skagit neighbors. Thank you!

Donate to Community Action’s Skagit Food Distribution Center

Help feed hungry Skagitonians through our Feeding Change register donation program.

You can donate $1, $3, or $5 at any Co-op register to support the Food Distribution Center, which provides food to all of our area’s food banks and hot meal programs.

Support Local Farmers: Buy Their Produce!

More, now than ever, local farmers need our support. The best way to do that? Buy their produce at the Co-op or sign up for a CSA! Look for the blue LOCAL tags in produce.

Food Donations for Neighbors in Need

ICYMI: we added another food collection bin for Neighbors in Need Food Bank in the Deli. You can drop non-perishable items in any bin on your way out the door.
