Children of the Valley (COV) provides a safe, positive, and enriching after-school program for under-resourced, low-income children in the Mount Vernon, Conway, Sedro-Woolley, and Burlington School Districts. COV now supports up to 200 students in grades K-8 who attend each of their district's elementary and middle schools.

How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Children of the Valley?

Funds from 5% Friday will support COV’s Teen Volunteer Mentorship Program, which engages, supports, and empowers local middle and high school students who choose to volunteer at Children of the Valley. Each year, teens and program alumni step into leadership roles by volunteering with younger students in the after-school program. Teens and alumni provide academic support, help facilitate enrichment activities, and act as positive role models for elementary-aged youth. Funds will help cover the cost of workshops, field trips, group activities, snacks and supplies, and incentives and recognition for teens in the program.
