5% Friday: Help Me Grow

  • Skagit Valley Food Co-op 202 South 1st Street Mount Vernon, WA, 98273 United States (map)

The Help Me Grow Skagit Family Resource Center (HMGS FRC) has been in operation since October 2020. In November of 2024, HMGS Family Resource Navigators were added to the team to further assist families. The HMGS FRC and FRN provide critically needed diapers, wipes, formula, and other basic needs, including personal hygiene and cleaning products.

The HMGS Family Resource Navigators further assist families by connecting them to other services they may need, including healthcare, developmental screenings, and prenatal care. HMGS FRC has connections to Within Reach to provide additional resources. Two car seat safety technicians continue to provide car seats and installation.

How Will Your Shopping Trip Support Help Me Grow Family Resource Center?

Funds from the 5% Friday program would be used to purchase and distribute basic needs items, including formula, diapers, and wipes, to families in need. HMGS FRC serves many families in the agricultural sector in Skagit County and currently serves an average of 300 families, or 1,200 people, each month. The funds would assist the program in providing safe sleep items and equipment, often working directly with the birth centers and hospitals.
