How Will Your Shopping Trip Support SVC’s Cardinal Food Pantry?

5% Friday funds will be used to support the Cardinal Food Pantry, an essential campus resource that combats food security among SVC students. The pantry serves hundreds of students each year who face economic hardships that threaten their ability to stay enrolled and succeed academically. Funds would purchase high-demand food staples such as rice, beans, pasta, canned proteins, and fresh produce. Special attention is given to sourcing culturally relevant foods that reflect the diverse backgrounds of our student population.

Additionally, the pantry stocks personal hygiene products, including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, menstrual hygiene products, and diapers, which are critical to students and their families. This support will help maintain a consistent, inclusive inventory, enabling the pantry to meet urgent student needs throughout the academic year. Every dollar will contribute to a stable, stigma-free resource that fosters student well-being and academic persistence.
